Alvitude went to the front after the start but it didn't take long for Fall Colors to take the lead with Alvitude close behind. Alvitude regained the lead with a half mile to run and appeared the winner until Fall Colors came flying in the stretch. Fall Colors gained the lead in the final sixteenth and was narrrowly best.
