This was a great race with every horse in contention much of the way. Rodriguez and Two's Company made most of the running with Canyon Road and Ebanour dueling in their shadow. Le Chevalier completed the field, but started to rally on the outside on the back side the final time around. Le Chevalier was a close third over the last fence and won going away in an excellant effort. Canyon Road had the lead in the stretch but couldn't hold off the winner.

For much of the race Shamsaan was never far from the leaders while Misfortune raced near the rear of the field. Misfortune and Shamsaan rallied and moved to the front as a team approaching the last fence where Misfortune had a slight advantage. These two battled through the stretch with Shamsaan proving best in a hard earned victory.

Handsome Hoyt took control with two times to go, opened a commanding lead and won as his rider pleased. Political Theatre fell on the backside while trying to cut into Handsome Hoyt's lead.

Boogie Biz and Just Wait and See made much of the running. When Just Wait and See went wide around a hard turn, Boogie Biz was on top alone. When Boogie Biz tired Katnap made his move and raced into contention. Kingofalldiamonds rallied late and led in the stretch but could not hold off Katnap who won going away.
